From mastering illustration and design processes to product development, trend forecasting, pattern making, draping, surface ornamentation techniques, and garment construction, our curriculum covers the entire spectrum of fashion design. Additionally, you will learn to conceptualise and produce a wide array of fashion products, spanning women’s wear, men’s wear, kids wear, and accessories that complement these collections.

Dr. Rajkumari Sharma
Meet Dr. Rajkumari Sharma, a visionary Fashion Designer and Entrepreneur, and the esteemed CEO & Founder of Raj Institute of Fashion Designing (RIFD). With a passion for women’s empowerment and vocational skill development, Dr. Sharma has been running RIFD in Mira Road since 2001.
At the heart of her mission lies a strong commitment to empowering women by imparting vocational skills in fashion designing, tailoring, embroidery, CAD, and allied design courses. Through RIFD, she strives to equip women with the tools they need to achieve financial independence and build successful careers in the fashion industry.
Over the years, RIFD has become a beacon of opportunity for aspiring designers, thanks to Dr. Sharma’s unwavering dedication. Under her leadership, the institute organises a range of activities, including industrial visits, workshops, seminars, fashion shows, and webinars, to provide students with valuable exposure to the industry.
Dr. Rajkumari Sharma’s dedication to social causes and her efforts to promote female financial independence have earned her recognition and respect. In recognition of her consistent endeavours, she was bestowed with a doctorate by the prestigious Gandhi Peace Foundation Nepal.
Her expertise extends beyond the realm of fashion, as she wears multiple hats with finesse. Alongside being a professional designer and pattern maker, Dr. Sharma also serves as a yoga instructor, financial advisor, career counsellor, passionate mentor, and motivational speaker. Her multifaceted approach to education and mentorship ensures that her students receive holistic guidance in their journey towards success.
